A very large percentage of Love of Lab's adoptable dogs are RESCUED from Animal Control &/or Humane

Societies in the Midwest, especially from IN, before the dog's day of doom. We work with many shelters,

especially in IN, to save as many Labs as possible from either being gassed to death or from being given a

lethal injection to end their lives. Below are some of the lucky dogs that we have saved and have found

wonderful, grateful, loving families.

Sadie & vCOOPERv

Just another note to say that things are just great with Cooper.  He has bonded with me which is what I was hoping for.  He is doing very well.  He really enjoys our morning and evening walks and I throw the tennis ball with him a couple of times a day in the back yard in between the walks.  That helps keep his energy level in check.  I’m attaching a couple more pictures.  One shows him relaxing on Sadie.  They get along just great.

He starts off each night sleeping on the couch and then during the night he comes and sleeps next to me on the floor.  He nudges me if he needs to go out to pee which is about every other night but I don’t mind at all – it beats having to clean up the floor!

Thanks again for your work with him and sharing your home and yourselves for his (and our) benefit!   It takes very special people to do what you do and you guys are very special.

vTRUMAN (fka Dutch)v

Truman (aka Dutch) came to me only four days after his front leg was amputated and he was pretty scared and not very trusting.  When Linda first asked me to consider fostering him, I was hesitant.  But now I realize what a stroke of luck that was for me, because it changed my life so much for the better.  Truman now runs faster than I can, (I'm embarrassed to admit)  chases after squirrels and wrestles around with his new little sister, Miss Mona.  If anyone is considering a special needs dog - you owe it to yourself and to them to open your heart!  I'm so glad I did.

vFarleyv

Farley would love to see you guys! He's been doing great, he LOVES to swim, play ball, fetch, football, basketball, Frisbee, the sprinkler,etc...
His new thing this week is dodging out the front door and runs down the block, he thinks he can just go anywhere, especially if I grab my keys and he can join me..haha.
I have been running him like crazy, trying to absorb as much of his energy as possible , he has tons of it! Love this dog more than I can express. He's just so much fun. What a lover he is, loves to snuggle and give kisses, I hide under the blankets and he has a fit because he cant see my face and he tries to dig me out, I play hide and go seek with him, finds me every time..lol.
But his favorite activity is swimming, I cant keep him out of the pool, he dives, does belly flops, floats on his raft and literally walks around the pool. I have to get my camcorder out, he does the most amazing things, you just might see him on Americas Funniest Home Videos.
